From 3D models to hand-sewn sculptures

Below you can see some images of my sculptural practice which combines digital fabrication and craft technologies. I begin with laser-cut cardboard that is assembled into a waffled scaffold for my figures. I then fill out the space with crushed newspaper and masking tape. In the end I cover the surface with a patchwork of textiles that are hand-sewn into place. These new works are inspired by artifacts from the Classical period of Ancient Greece.

Here are some of the finished pieces in this series.
