Perilous Journey: Staying Upright

Getting an an idea is one thing, making it a reality is another. If you are doing large scale installations you often need help from friends, family and frequently: drum roll………. ..INTERNS!

This past summer, complements of Gallery Aferro and William Patterson University, I was fortunate to have Nora Aresti working with me in my studio. Our main project was constructing another two dozen of  the sculptural elements I use in the Perilous Journey Series.

Here are a few images showing the how and why of the construction including the usually hidden, but crucial component, the bases.
