PBS / Art21 just released a video profile about artist Heidi Lau who I showed at Kent Place Gallery back in 2013. I knew Heidi because we were both in the Aljira Emerge program together, some of which took place at Aferro. I later curated her solo exhibition “The Obscure Region” at Kent Place Gallery (at Kent Place School, where I teach– the image above is of her installing there). Heidi is originally from Macao, and went on to represent that nation in the 2019 Venice Biennale.
