Recently I had the opportunity to install a series of hand-woven nets in the trees in Branch Brook Park in Newark NJ. These nets were an experimental installation that is a meditation on the relationship between the water and the sky. They slice through the air and are at once solid and porous. Now, coming from this installation I am experimenting with the integration of new techniques and materials, on a new large-scale netted sculpture to be installed at Index Art Center in June 2017.
